49 Bible Verses About Wisdom and Knowledge

The Bible is filled with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. It’s like the how-to manual that was written for us. Since God created us, He understands how we ought to live better than anyone and anything else. And since the Bible is the inspired Word of God, we’re wise to look to it for wisdom for life.

I’ve found in my life that when I choose to live and make decisions based on the Scriptures, things in my life go well. And when I turn away from the Biblical wisdom, I run into trouble.

The books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job are considered the 3 books of wisdom. That’s where we get the most straightforward “do this, don’t do that” type of Bible verses. There’s wisdom sprinkled throughout the entire Bible.

I’ve put together this list of Bible verses about wisdom and knowledge. Since there are so many verses on this topic, you’ll find 3 different categories of wisdom scriptures: general wisdom, financial wisdom, and relational wisdom.
