What Does the Bible Say About Spring Time?
Growing up, spring was always my least favorite season. The snow was melting, and the rain turned it into dirty gray slush. It was still cold, but you couldn’t do any of the fun winter activities.
As an adult, I appreciate spring time more. Spring is the shift from death to life. The trees and flowers and grass start coming back to life. There’s more sunshine and it gets warmer outside.
The Bible talks about the spring rains and new things springing forth. The spring rains bring a refreshing to the dry land and new things come alive. Spring time in the Old Testament was often a season of war. Kings and armies would go out in the spring time to take new territory. King David’s biggest downfall happened because he didn’t go to war with his men during spring time.
Here are 17 of my favorite Bible verses that talk about spring time, the spring rains, and new life.
“Then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil.”
