25 Bible Verses About Missions and Evangelism
When we have good news, we should want to share it with the people that we care about. We also hope that they celebrate the good news with us.
The word “Gospel” means good news. The word comes from an announcement of victory that soldiers would bring back when they won a battle. They’d return to their towns and share the good news—their enemy was defeated and they won.
That’s exactly how we need to view the Gospel. It’s the good news of the victory that Jesus accomplished for us on the cross and through His resurrection.
Now, we have a responsibility to share that with as many people as possible.
Right before Jesus retuned to Heaven, He gave His disciples the Great Commission. The charge that we need to go into all the world and teach people the good news—the salvation that Jesus bought for us.
Whether you’re traveling to another country on a mission trip, or sharing the good news in your hometown and with your friends and family, getting some biblical encouragement is always helpful. I hope these verses about missions and evangelism help you and inspire you to boldly share the good news of Jesus with others.
