19 Bible Verses About The Beach

The beach has always been one of my favorite places to pray and spend time with God.

Looking out at the endless ocean has always been a great reminder of how big God is, and how much He loves us. In the Bible, the beach and sand are mentioned numerous times.

Sand is often used as a comparison to a huge amount of people, things, armies, and God’s thoughts towards us. You can imagine how long it would take to count individual pieces of sand. Even a small handful of sand is impossible to count!

In the New Testament, we see a few times where Jesus is teaching His disciples and crowds of people on the beach and shores of the Sea of Galilee.

I hope you enjoy this list of Bible verses about the beach.

“So when they got out on the beach, they saw a charcoal fire set up and fish on it cooking, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three [of them]; and although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, ‘Come and have breakfast.’ None of the disciples dared to ask Him, ‘Who are You?’ They knew [without any doubt] that it was the Lord.”
John 21:9-12 AMP
“Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful! God, I’ll never comprehend them! I couldn’t even begin to count them— any more than I could count the sand of the sea.”
